Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 OXO beef cube
- 1 tbsp treacle
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp thyme leaves
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 x 227g sirloin steaks
(Serves 2)
Method
- In a bowl whisk the ingredients together.
- Add the steaks to marinade.
- Leave at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Heat a heavy based frying pan over high heat for 2-3 minutes until smoking.
- Place steaks in the dry pan and cook over a high heat for 1 minute each side. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook for a further 30 seconds - 1 minute each side (rare), 1-3 minutes each side (medium) or 4-7 minutes each side (well done).
- Allow steak to rest for 3 minutes before serving.
